The NUM Group has been formed via a number of acquisitions since it's formation as NUM SA in 1978, including Güttinger AG in 1981 and Servomac in 1990. During the mid 1990's, Telemecanique, the mother company of NUM SA, merged with Schneider-Electric. All the subsidiaries were taken over by a private investor and management in 2006, resulting in the NUM Group being created as it stands today.
